Micro-suction is the removal of ear wax and cleaning of the canal using gentle suction and special instruments designed for use in your ear canal.

At Queen Street Pharmacy this is performed under a surgical microscope by our qualified pharmacists, with expertise in ear health. Our fully qualified pharmacists can remove your earwax and alleviate any symptoms you might be having.

Why use micro-suction to remove ear wax?

Micro-suctioning of the ear canals is the recommended method of removing wax and/or debris from the ear as it is much safer and more effective than other methods.

Ear syringing with water forced into the ear canals under pressure is not advised, due to the risks of ear drum perforation and irritation caused to the skin of the ear by the water. To get your ears cleaned safely, always trust a trained ear nurse using modern technology and techniques.
